Rome, city of the spiritual and political power, art city and broken dreams. The capital is living a complex historical period, hostage to misrule and corruption. It has built up a debt of around EUR 13 billion over time. The city is getting more tired and neurotic: one citizen in five is over 65 years old and the young people have many difficulties finding a suitable role in the society. Rome reflects historical period of decadence that Italy is experiencing nowadays, omen of a sad implosion. Symbol city rich in symbols. My work is a travel of the personal research of those symbols , which represent the fragments that make up the framework of the condition and fate of Rome.

Roma, città del potere spirituale e di quello politico, città d’arte e di sogni infranti. La capitale vive un momento storico complesso, ostaggio di malgoverno e della corruzione. Ha accumulato nel corso degli anni un debito di quasi 13 miliardi di euro. La città è sempre più nevrotica e stanca: un cittadino su cinque ha un’età superiore ai 65 anni e i giovani faticano ad emergere. Rappresenta la perfetta sintesi del periodo storico decadente che vive l’Italia, presagio di una triste implosione. Una città simbolo ricca di simboli. Il mio è stato un viaggio ed una ricerca personale di quei simboli che costituiscono i frammenti che compongono il quadro della condizione e del destino di Roma.
